'Game 960' enjoyed its 30th anniversary on June 19th, 2026 – so we’re taking a moment to celebrate with a tournament in honor of Bobby Fischer’s favorite chess variant! Special rule for this event: positions will be shown only 5 minutes before each round. For the sake of time, players will only play one color, just as they would in a regular chess tournament. Though there will certainly be competitive energy at each table, the goal is to enjoy the challenge.
